I am an experienced professional in research and academic management. My research expertise is focused on regulatory governance and public policy. I collaborate jointly with the Social Data Science & AI Lab at LMU in Munich, and with the School of Social Sciences at Uni Mannheim, where I coordinate the implementation of the KODAQS Academy for Data Quality in the Social Sciences.
Previously, I worked at the Hertie School in Berlin as postdoctoral researcher to the Office of the President, as well as academic counsellor and manager of the Office of the Dean of Graduate Programmes. In Mexico, I held positions as policy analyst at the Mexican Federal Competition and Energy Regulatory Commissions, as well as the National Council for Evaluation of Social Development Policy (Coneval). In the private sector, I worked as political analyst at CNN Mexico-Grupo Expansion, as research associate for the think tank Mexico Evalua, and as communications manager at the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham-Mexico).
I hold a PhD in Governance from the Hertie School; an MSc in Political Economy from the University of Essex, and a BA in Political Science from ITAM (Mexico).
